A counsellor in Faversham, Kent
Counselling can change your life! Counselling gives you the time and space to talk through the issues that are concerning you. Its aim is to help you to feel more at ease with your life. It can enable you to understand the origins of current sadnesses, unhelpful behaviours or negative thought patterns, and in understanding, be enabled to become free of them.
Thus it becomes possible to move forward in life feeling more at ease with yourself, and better equipped to manage life’s difficulties in a constructive and beneficial way.
Counselling can help you through the following – and more!!
- Eating disorders
- Panic attacks
- Relationship problems
A Faversham therapist
I have many years’ experience as a counsellor/ therapist. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society and a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (and work to their code of ethics).
My approach is to work within a psychodynamic framework, looking at the presenting difficulties in the context of early experiences, and then moving to the future with new insights and understanding. I will also introduce strategies and ways of understanding, from other traditions, as I feel it to be helpful.
What do clients think? Counselling and therapy feedback
My client feedback through feedback sheets and cards or letters sent after the conclusion of therapy has always been very positive – even from clients who were sceptical at the start of treatment. How can just talking to someone make any difference? Well — clients have been able to return to work, to re-engage with their lives with more hope and enthusiasm, or to make changes they had wished to make but feared.
Where does therapy take place?
I work in central Faversham. The centre has good access and is conveniently placed for parking and rail connections.
